Departing from Cairns Marlin Marina in the late afternoon, you’ll board a comfortable vessel and set out along the sheltered waters of Trinity Inlet. As the city skyline softens in the evening light, you cruise past mangrove-lined shores with panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and rainforest.

Your guide provides informative commentary on the inlet’s ecosystem, local history and culture while you look for birdlife and, with a bit of luck, saltwater crocodiles along the banks. There is ample space for photos and quiet moments taking in the changing colours of the sky. After approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes on the water, you return to the marina having experienced Cairns from a relaxed sunset perspective.
