Keep your morning free in Cairns, then head to Green Island for an afternoon of beaches, rainforest and optional reef viewing. This is a short island visit, so it helps to choose the activity you most want to do.
Your island time
Travel aboard Reef Rocket, with an approximate 45-minute crossing each way. The scheduled departure from Cairns is 1:00 pm, returning at 5:00 pm, giving you around 2.5 hours on the island.
Once ashore, choose between the beach, a self-guided rainforest boardwalk and snorkelling from the shore. Wildlife sightings vary naturally. With limited time ashore, combining a long walk, a meal and several activities may feel rushed.
