Fitzroy Island Full-Day Tour – Fitzroy Island Adventures

Spend a day on Fitzroy Island with return Cairns transfers and time for beaches, shore snorkelling and National Park walks. Equipment, tours and lunch are optional extras.

Choose your own pace on Fitzroy Island with a full-day transfer from Cairns. Fitzroy Island Adventures takes care of the boat journey while you decide how to spend your time ashore: a beach stop, a walk through the National Park or snorkelling from the shore.

More time to shape your day

The earlier 8:30am departure gives you around six hours on the island; a later 10:45am departure shortens the stay. Crossings take approximately 45 minutes each way, and the full-day return leaves the island at 4pm.

Return transport is the base inclusion. Bring your own snorkel equipment or add hire, and choose separately from glass-bottom boat tours, guided snorkelling and picnic lunch options. Guided beach snorkelling and the boat-based Snorkel Safari are different activities, so check your selection carefully.

Bring walking shoes if the tracks are a priority, and allow time to return for your boat. The resort pool is reserved for resort guests.

  • Check in at the Fitzroy Island Adventures boat at A Finger, Cairns Marlin Marina.
  • Cairns departures are 8:30 am and 10:45 am; the boat leaves Fitzroy Island at 4:00 pm.

  • The guided snorkel activities take place in open water; participants should be comfortable swimming there.
