Take to a rainforest river in your own inflatable tube, drifting through shaded stretches and bouncing over small rapids. Aussie Drifterz’s half-day tubing trip gives you around 1.5 to 2 hours on the water, with River Guides accompanying the group.
More than a lazy float
You will paddle and manoeuvre your tube as well as relax between the faster sections. No tubing experience is needed, but some physical fitness is required. Your tube, helmet and lifejacket are provided, along with a safety briefing before entering the river.
The river location is selected to suit conditions on the day. Trees, ferns and shaded banks provide the setting, with wildlife sightings varying naturally.
Return coach travel from Cairns city is included. Northern Beaches pickups apply to morning departures only. Wear secure shoes with a backstrap and bring a towel and dry clothes for the return journey.

- The morning tour is scheduled for 6:45 am-12:00 pm; the afternoon tour for 1:45-6:00 pm.

- Wear secure river shoes with a backstrap. Shoe hire is available at extra cost.
- Bring a towel, change of clothes, sunscreen, insect repellent and a hat.
- There are no toilets on the coach or at the river.
- Tours operate in rain, but heavy monsoonal rain may require changes.
