Cairns Outer Reef Pontoon Cruise – Great Adventures

7 hours

Visit an outer reef pontoon from Cairns with around three hours for snorkelling, semi-submersible tours and the underwater observatory. Buffet lunch included.

Enjoy the outer Great Barrier Reef from a pontoon that gives swimmers and non-swimmers several ways to take part. Great Adventures cruises from Cairns to its activity platform, with around three hours at the reef.

A base for different interests

Enter the water from the lowered snorkelling platform, using the included equipment and instruction. Between swims, return to the pontoon for a break. A semi-submersible tour and underwater observatory provide reef views without needing to swim.

Reef presentations and fish feeding add context to what you see, while a hot and cold buffet lunch and refreshments are included. This variety makes the trip worth considering for a group with different levels of interest in swimming.

Scuba diving and guided snorkel tours are separate paid activities. Check availability and eligibility before adding them, and plan your pontoon time so there is room for the activities you most want.
