Reef time without a full-day itinerary
Upolu Bay combines a sandy seabed with coral bommies and reef formations. Snorkel equipment, a Lycra sunsuit and instruction are supplied. Join a crew-guided snorkel or explore at your own pace within the supervised area, with up to two hours at the reef, subject to conditions.
Light snacks are included and cold drinks can be purchased. Crew-taken in-water photographs are shared on social media for guests to access, rather than supplied as a private photography package.
Choose a morning or afternoon departure to suit your day. This is an open-water activity for confident swimmers; there is no island, pontoon or dry reef-viewing alternative.

- Morning tour: check in from 7:30 am, depart at 8:00 am and return around 12:00 pm.
- Afternoon tour: check in from 12:30 pm, depart at 1:00 pm and return around 5:00 pm.
- Check in at the Reef Adventures Cairns office inside the Pier Shopping Centre. The crew will take you to the boat at Marlin Marina.
- The snorkel site is in open water; waves and current may be present. This tour is unsuitable for non-swimmers.
- Children must be comfortable swimming in the open ocean and remain under parental supervision.
- No scuba diving, glass-bottom boat, pontoon or island visit is included.
- Cold drinks are available to purchase.
- The reef destination is selected according to conditions. Check the day's arrangements on your booking confirmation.
